Barbara Steinhoff

 

Barb was born in Platteville, WI, home of Wisconsin’s oldest college, now the University of Wisconsin Campus. 

 

There she attended grade school, high school, and the university where she majored in elementary education and minored in music.   While there she studied voice under Franklin La Barr of the Julliard School of Music and organ under Professor Porter Ellifrit.

 

She has served as organist at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mt. Clemons and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska for 26 years.  She now plays periodically for Trinity Lutheran Church, Traverse City.

 

She has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1995 and is a retired teacher, having taught elementary schools at Selfridge AFB, Seminole and Ingleside Schools in Mt. Clemens and in Mancelona.
