Mrs. Susan Brand
I spent 20 years of my life living around the Chicago area, and
attending school in that area as well. I student taught 3rd grade
at St. Paul in Aurora, IL, and I graduated from Concordia College, River
Forest in 1989. I also received a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Teaching
from Michigan State University in 2000.
Before my last year of college, my husband,
Tim, and I moved to Wisconsin, where I had my first child. From there,
I moved back to Illinois, then to Fort Wayne, IN so Tim could attend
Concordia Theological Seminary. In 1996, my family and I moved to
Traverse City when Tim was called to be Pastor of St. Michael and All Angels
Lutheran Church. Before I began teaching at Trinity in 1997, I had
spent 9 years raising my four children. All of my full-time teaching
has been spent here at Trinity Lutheran School.
