Mrs. Linda Christie
While finishing my Elementary Education
degree at Oakland University, I completed my student teaching assignment in
The American School, The Hague, Netherlands, working in 5th grade. It
was exciting to learn about a multicultural classroom and many diverse
backgrounds. After graduation, I taught 3rd grade for 2 years at St.
John Lutheran School in Taylor, Michigan. I also earned an M.A. in
Curriculum and Classroom Teaching from MSU in East Lansing
in 1988.
We moved to Walled Lake and I taught
at St. Matthew Lutheran School, a 5/6 split class, 7 & 8 grade writing and
then Kindergarten. We moved to Traverse City, where I have had the pleasure
of substitute teaching and teaching Kindergarten since 1994. In 2002,
I completed the colloquy program through Concordia Ann Arbor and have been
an LCMS commissioned teacher since that time.
