After graduating from Central Michigan University, I taught British Literature and Advanced Composition for several years. I then became a social worker in New York City but returned to teaching in Northern Michigan. I was a full time volunteer (in charge of the School Library and helping in first grade) for eight years. For the last 24 years I have taught first, third, and fourth grades at Trinity, Traverse.
