Mr. "Bud" Helmreich
Mr. Helmreich was born
and raised in Munger, MI. Following grade school at Trinity Lutheran in
Munger and high school at Bay City Central, he attended Concordia College in
Ann Arbor for two years. He received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master
of Arts in Education from Concordia, River Forest, IL. His first six
teaching years were spent at St. John Lutheran School in Rogers City, MI,
where he taught primarily third and fourth grades. In 1986, he accepted a
call to teach and serve as Athletic Director at St. Peter’s Lutheran School
in Big Rapids, MI, serving there for seven years.
Mr. Helmreich then
accepted a call to serve as sixth grade teacher at St. Stephen in Waterford,
MI, where he served for one year prior to receiving the call to serve as
junior high teacher at Trinity, Traverse City. After serving for a number
of years as junior high teacher, he moved to the sixth grade. His
twenty-eighth year of teaching has him teaching a combined sixth and
seventh grades.
